Man arrested for OUI,
damaging Rotary Park
PUTNAM — A Putnam man was arrested April 6 after Putnam Police officers stopped him.
Police Chief Christopher D. Ferace said the Putnam police officers were in Riverfront Commons on an unrelated incident when they were flagged down by an individual reporting an intoxicated driver in the parking lot. Officers initiated a traffic stop on Massicotte Circle and the vehicle continued across Kennedy Drive and into Rotary Park, causing damage to the lawn.
Officers said Tyler Roussin, 27, of Woodstock Avenue was stopped and they saw “indicators of impairment.” He did not complete the Standardized Field Sobriety Test to “standard” and was charged with operating under the influence and third-degree criminal mischief.
