Woodstock woman cited in accident
PUTNAM — The Putnam Police Department cited a Woodstock resident, Rebecca Douglas, 24, after a three-car accident at the intersection of Woodstock Avenue and Church Street and Bridge Street.
July 16, police said, the police, Putnam Fire Department and Putnam EMS responded to a reported accident. One of the vehicles was on its roof.
Police said a vehicle operated by Douglas was traveling westbound from bridge Street through the intersection onto Woodstock Avenue, failed to obey the stop sign and hit a vehicle which was traveling southbound through the intersection on Church Street.
That vehicle was being operated by Cooper Livingston, 20, of Putnam, and his car struck the curbing and rolled onto its roof and then struck an unoccupied vehicle which was parked in the parking lot area of the BestWay gas station.
All involved parties were treated at the scene by Putnam EMS and a passenger from Livingston’s vehicle was transported by ambulance to the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam for minor injuries. All three vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. Douglas was issued a citation for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.
