Accident information sought
PUTNAM — The Putnam Police Department is looking for information on an accident that happened around 3:15 p.m. July 25.
Putnam Police said Putnam Emergency Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Walnut and Davis streets.
Police said a vehicle driven by Courtland Thomas, 28, of Putnam attempted to pull out of Davis Street onto Walnut Street and hit the side of a passing vehicle on Walnut Street, driven by Lorie Bennette, 61, of Chepachet.
Putnam EMS responded to the scene, however there were no medical transports. Putnam Fire Department responded to assist with traffic and containment of fluids.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed.
