Garden club to cut ribbon at new home
WOODSTOCK — The Quiet Corner Garden Club is delighted to welcome garden lovers and other members of the public to the opening of its new office at the Center For Woodstock History at Palmer Memorial Hall, 523 Rt. 169 in Woodstock.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 4 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Then guest can see the new permanent office housing the Club’s historical albums and library of garden books.
The Center For Woodstock History also has on view its exhibition “Woodstock-Through the Camera’s Eye in Post-Civil War America”. In addition, there will be a docent-led tour of the adjacent Palmer Arboretum, a historic “hidden treasure,” established in 1914.
Refreshments will be served.
