Chamber strides into next year with awards and honors
Several people were honored during the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting.
The chamber officially “passed the torch” from 2025 President Jason Verraneault to 2026 President Amy Brunet, and welcomed new board members Ben Lopez and Melanie Macierowski.
Several longtime board members were honored for their years of service: Jo-Ann Chenail — 10 years of service, including 7 years as secretary; Elaine Wentzell — 9 years of service; Donna Copeland — 11 years of dedicated service
In a special surprise moment, Elle Sherman was presented with the Relentless Heart Award, and Nancy Pare received the Engagement Chief Award, recognizing their ongoing commitment and impact on the Chamber and regional business community.
The Annual Meeting highlighted the Chamber’s continued focus on collaboration, leadership, and strengthening support for businesses across northeastern Connecticut.
