LYNDONVILLE, Vt. --- Charles Mauro of Woodstock graduated from Lyndon State College on May 18, 2014 ,with a bachelor's in mountain recreation management with a concentration in adventure leadership. Lyndon graduated 273 during the 102nd commencement ceremony.

PROVIDENCE --- The following local residents were among over 900 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees at commencement May 18, 2014: Sara Gorham, Chepachet, bachelor's degree Cum Laude; Emily Sachs, Pomfret Center, bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude; Langston Stokes, a resident of E. Woodstock, bachelor's degree.
Bridge Fix
The Putnam Department of Public Works last week rebuilt the joint between the Bridge Street bridge deck and the road. The joint had become uneven, resulting in a bump. In addition, the railings on the bridge were repainted silver. Linda Lemmon photo.
