PUTNAM — Judy Holt has been named employee of the month for May at Westview Health Care Center. She is a second shift charge nurse for the rehabilitation unit and has been employed at Westview since February 2005.
As a second shift charge nurse for the rehabilitation unit, Judy is responsible for the efficient management of the unit. Holt earned her license from Lee County School of Nursing in Fort Myers, Fla., in 2004 and started at Westview shortly thereafter. Her goal was to follow in the employment footsteps of her mother Lois Andersen, Westview 3rd Shift Supervisor of 18 years. She is a resident of Putnam.

PUTNAM — Jamie Vega was named employee of the month for April at Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH). She is lead switchboard operator at Day Kimball Hospital, which is part of the DKH integrated healthcare system.
In her capacity as lead switchboard operator, Vega is responsible for the efficient handling and forwarding of all telephone calls that come into the hospital via the main switchboard, which includes emergency pages. In addition, she monitors all security, fire and maintenance emergency alarms, among other duties.
Vega joined DKH in 2007 as a part-time medical records clerk, moving to the switchboard operator position in 2011. Prior to her DKH employment, she spent eight years as a switchboard operator/customer service representative at a plastic injection molding company.
She lives in Putnam, where she has lived for over 20 years. She is married to Eddie Vega; they have one daughter. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Job Corps Center in New Haven, where she also earned a Business Clerical Certificate.
