PUTNAM — (Cecile) Marie Haggerty was named employee of the month for January at Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH). She is the denials management coordinator in the Patient Accounts Department at Day Kimball Hospital, which is part of the DKH integrated healthcare system.
The denials management coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities surrounding claims denials and prevention, including tracking, responses and outcome measurement. In this capacity, Haggerty handles the implementation, communication, maintenance and process improvement of the denials management program. This includes serving as the central point-of-contact internally for all hospital denial issues for all departments. She also serves on various patient account committees.
Prior to joining DKH in 2008, Haggerty worked in the accounting and legal fields. She attended Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC), and completed the QVCC Medical Billing & Coding Certificate Program. Haggerty is active in the local Girl Scouts, serving as a leader and treasurer. Born in Fort Dix, New Jersey, she grew up in Putnam, graduating from Putnam High School. She lives in Putnam with her husband and their two daughters.
