The Riverview Marketplace farmers' market in Putnam will begin Thursday afternoons shortly.
The only thing in the market now is the lines and angles of the structure.

Ready for
'madcap' show?
PUTNAM — The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse will present the Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman classic madcap comedy “You Can’t Take It With You” starting May 31 and running for three weekends.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. May 31, June 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 and at 2 p.m. June 2, 9 and 16. Tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for seniors and students.
“You Can’t Take It With You,” which won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, was made into a movie in 1938 and won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The film featured Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, James Stewart, Ann Miller and Spring Byington.
It will keep you laughing all evening when the happy madness of the Sycamore clan runs head on into the stuffy Kirbys. Will Alice Sycamore and Tony Kirby be able to make their romance work as the different worlds of their families collide? Throw in fireworks manufacturing, a printing press and an income tax collector as well as FBI agents and you’ll have an experience you won’t soon forget.
The TNECT production is directed by Kathleen Atwood. David Hopcroft leads the cast as Grandpa Martin Vanderhof with Carol Alderson as Penelope Sycamore and John Fulco as Paul Sycamore. Nicole Marchand appears as Alice Sycamore and Tony Kirby is played by Neil Ericson. The other members of the delightfully eccentric group include Alison Wiza as Essie, Paul Lucenti as Ed and Jim Weigel as Mr. De Pinna. The faithful Rheba is played by Sarri Patterson and Jordan Merrill is her Donald. Their Russian friends are Mr. Kolenkhov played by Tom Moody and The Grand Duchess Olga Katrina portrayed by Michele Rogers. The oh so proper Kirbys are Rick Skog and Bonnie Theriault. Carol Bachman, Robert Latino, Peter Yackovetsky, Greg Brock and Ernie White complete the cast.
For reservations with a major credit card go online at: www.thebradleyplayhouse.org or call 860-928-7887. Tickets may be purchased at the theater box office, either before the performance on weekdays or at the door. Reservations are recommended.
