PUTNAM — Earl R. Withers Jr. has been promoted to the position of senior vice president, Branch Administration & Business Development, of The Citizens National Bank.
In this position Withers plans and directs operations for all retail banking offices. In addition, he is charged with maintaining a sourcing and development plan for existing and potential clients to promote banking services and sales.
Withers has been employed in the banking field since 1981, and joined the bank in June 2011. He attended the State University of New York at Brockport and Empire State College.
Withers also carries the responsibilities of security officer and facilities manager for the bank. He is an active member of Putnam Business Association.
He and his wife, Pamela, live in Danielson.
PUTNAM --- As the periodic revaluation of Putnam continues, data collectors are now working on the following streets:
Addison Street, Ballou Street, Battey Street, Church Street, Dufault Street, Harrison Street, Lamothe Street, Marshall Street, Maynard Street, Mill Street, Providence Street, Smith Street, Van den Noort Street and Woodside Street.
Tax Assessor Rande Chmura said that about 340 letters were mailed this week to owners of properties that will be inspected in the next few weeks. These pre-inspection letters were sent by the Assessor's office. The letters explain the revaluation process and have pictures on the reverse side of the data collectors and the make and models of their cars. Data collectors have picture ID's and have a letter of introduction with them written by the assessor.
Passes exam
PUTNAM — Lee Wesler, MD, recently passed the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) Certification Exam for Obesity Medicine Physicians and became certified in the subspecialty of obesity medicine.
Dr. Wesler was among only 191 physicians nationally who successfully completed this year’s exam.
“In our own state, the prevalence of adult obesity 22.5 percent,” said Dr. Wesler. “I am interested in being part of the solution to this medical epidemic by locally helping patients affected by obesity who seek access to safe evidence-based medical treatment options.”
