White promoted
PUTNAM — Jennifer L. White has been promoted to vice president and commercial loan officer of the Citizens National Bank. Her responsibilities include commercial lending, sales and business development. Since 2001, White’s career has concentrated primarily in the lending and credit fields of banking. She joined Citizens National in October 2007.
White earned her master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College, Dudley. She received her bachelor’s in business administration from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
White’s community involvements include membership in the planning committee for the Holiday Gala, an annual event of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation that benefits non-profits assisting the disadvantaged children in eastern Connecticut. She is also an active volunteer with Junior Achievement of Connecticut, teaching a class annually in Putnam High School’s Workplace Readiness Program. White and her family live in Webster.

PUTNAM —The Putnam Business Association’s Beautification Committee received a $500 cleanup support grant from The Last Green Valley Inc. The Putnam Beautification Day will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. April 27. A complimentary cookout at Rotary Park immediately afterwards. The rain date is April 28.
The Beautification Committee is seeking volunteers to assist with the cleanup effort, and will join TLGV Chief Ranger Bill Reid, and rangers Marcy Dawley and Doug Berrisford. Volunteers are asked to contact Beautification Chair, Anna Zubkova at 860-928-3777 or email:

PUTNAM --- Lynn K. Bourque, senior vice president and branch administrator of Putnam Bank was awarded the President's Award.
Thomas A. Borner, president and CEO of Putnam Bank, said the award is given to an employee who his award is given to an employee who exemplifies unwavering commitment and dedication to the bank and community. Borner personally chose Lynn Bourque, to receive this honor. He said, “Lynn spends countless hours fulfilling the needs of the bank, and she is instrumental to its success and growth. She is always visible in the community as a representative of the bank. She serves on many organizations, and she serves them well.”
As Senior VP & Branch Administrator, Bourque manages the operations of the branch network to ensure that all branches deliver the highest level of customer service, maintain effective security procedures and follow Bank and Regulatory policies. In addition, she coordinates the Business Development activities by calling on new and prospective customers and directs sales and services efforts throughout the branches. She coordinates and assists in fundamental areas of the bank including marketing, training, and product enhancement.
Lynn was delightfully surprised, and she was overwhelmed with emotion. When asked what this award meant to her, she stated, “This is a monumental achievement in my career. I feel fortunate to be recognized by Tom and Putnam Bank for my hard work and devotion to the bank and local community. It is important for me to focus my time and energy on local agencies where I know I can make a positive, direct impact on someone’s life. I am thankful that Putnam Bank supports me in these efforts.”
She is currently a member of the Day Kimball Hospital Women’s Board, the Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity of Northeast CT, the treasurer of the 3-C’s, a corporator for Day Kimball Hospital & United Services, 2012 Community Division Leader for The Arc of Quinebaug Capital Campaign, Board Member for The Arc of Quinebaug and a member of the Day Kimball Hospital Spiritual Care Advisory Committee. In addition, she spends time volunteering for Day Kimball Hospital’s Deary Memorial Road Race, the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, and Daily Bread.
She started as a part time teller at Mechanics Bank in 1981. She joined Putnam Bank in 1993 as a branch manager of the Danielson Office. She is a graduate of Worcester State College and got her MBA from Anna Maria College. She has four grown children and lives in the local community with her husband, David.
