Changes in
COVID-19
testing sites
The current State COVID-19 testing contracts ended June 30 and as a result, SEMA4 COVID-19 testing has wrapped up, according to the Northeast District Department of Health.
The district’s partners at Generations Family Health Center will continue to offer COVID-19 testing at their Willimantic location from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The Danielson site offers testing from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The State’s 2-1-1 Testing Locator site was updated, so you can go to their website to find the latest on COVID-19 testing services — Generations, Danielson Pharmacy, CVS in Brooklyn and Putnam, Family Health Care & Walk In Center in Woodstock, and other locations.
NDDH said the State Epi team will be monitoring the testing volumes, positivity, and vaccination/case rates in this area.
Since March, 2021 the three local SEMA4 sites (Danielson, Putnam, and briefly in Plainfield) performed 3,415 tests and identified 224 positive cases. As of last week, the June positivity rate for SEMA4 testing was 0 percent at QVCC and 1.75 percent in Putnam.
