Putnam: 10 a.m. Monday, May 31 — Parade from Canal Street to Riverview Market Pavilion (with a short ceremony at the Henry Breault Pedestrian Bridge) followed by a ceremony at the pavilion honoring Putnam’s only Medal of Honor winner, Henry Breault.
Pomfret: 10 a.m. Monday, May 31 — Brief ceremony on the Town Green in lieu of the traditional parade.
Woodstock: Noon Monday, May 31 — Woodstock Hill monument
Danielson: 1 p.m. Monday, May 31 — Parade St. James Church to Davis Park
Dayville: 2 p.m. Sunday, May 30 — Owen Bell Park
Thompson: 9 a.m. Monday, May 31 — Town Hall
E. Killingly: 11 a.m. Monday, May 31 — East Killingly Fire Station
S. Killingly: 9 a.m. Monday, May 31 — South Killingly Congregational Church

Lions Club supports community
The Putnam Lions Club organized its community payback event May 20 as a drive-thru event at the Farmers Market Pavilion. This event was held in lieu of the Annual Night of Giving.
Checks totaling $9,450 were handed out by Lions Club President Leia Faucher. Donations went to 24 local organizations, including:
Community Charities: American Legion Baseball, The Arc Eastern Connecticut, Audubon Society, Bradley Playhouse, Community Café, Daily Bread, Diaper Bank, DKH Chaplaincy, DKH (Homecare, Homemakers, Hospice), DKH Pediatric Reading, Family Resource Center, 4-H Camp, Leo’s Club II, PHS Volleyball, PHS Yearbook, PMS End of Year, Putnam Ambulance, Putnam Public Library, Putnam Little League, NE CT Women & Girls Fund, Danielson Veterans Coffeehouse, WPTP.
Lions Charities: Camp Rising Sun, CLERF, Diabetes, District 23-C Hearing and Speech, LCIF, Low Vision Center, Chris Radio.
The Putnam Lions Club has been serving the local community for many years, organizing and participating in a variety of service projects. They thanked the community for its continued support and look forward to another successful year of service.

Sealed bids for the lease of two town-owned agricultural parcels will be received by the Town of Pomfret at the Office of the First Selectman, Pomfret Town Hall, Five Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259 until 1:00 PM, Local Prevailing Time, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Bidders are invited to submit bids for one or both of the two available parcels.
The four-year term of said leases will commence in the Spring of 2022 and expire in the Fall of 2026.
