Dean’s list
MILTON, Mass. — Olivia Braithwaite of Putnam was named to the Curry College dean’s list for the Fall 2019 semester. Braithwaite is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in management.

NEWTON, Mass. — Spencer Fulone, a Lasell University student from Thompson, was elected to the University’s Student Alumni Association (SAA) executive board for the 2020-2021 academic year. Fulone, a marketing major at Lasell, was elected the SAA’s president.

PUTNAM — Michael ‘Pa’ LaBelle died July 30, 2020.
He was born Nov. 22, 1953, in Putnam. He graduated from Ellis Tech in 1971. He enjoyed the simple things in life. Pa’s world revolved around his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, NASCAR, fishing and a good prank.
He leaves two children: Heidi (Ted) Hudson, Hayley (Darrell) Sellers; brother Arthur (Tammy) LaBelle; six grandchildren: Darien (Chris) Moore, Jake Hudson, Zachary (Madeline) Hudson, Addison Hudson, Eliana Sellers, and Simon Sellers; two great-grandchildren: Braelie and Kasen Moore; dear friend and neighbor Elise Paul. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Irene (Beaupre) LaBelle, and brother Gary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at St. Mary Church, Putnam, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville. Donations: Living with Autism, Inc. 102 Solitude Way, Cary, NC 27518.
Celebration of Life

Steeplechase Fund-raiser
WILLIMANTIC --- The annual Steeplechase fund-raiser will be run differently this year with participants being asked to pick their own routes. Again, the dollars raised by participants and sponsors will be matched by the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation, doubling proceeds. PUTNAM --- The Particle Accelerator music festival concert will be held entirely online. The event raises funds and awareness to support United Services, Inc. and to provide information and support for depression and suicide prevention.
