PUTNAM — The Board of Directors of Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH), in conjunction with DKH executive management, has announced that effective July 10, Joseph Adiletta will relinquish his role as the healthcare system’s interim president, a position he assumed temporarily in September 2019.
Paul Beaudoin, DKH’s chief financial officer (CFO) and interim CEO, will remain in his current role and will temporarily undertake the president role and responsibilities.
“Joseph has been intimately involved in decisions relating to both the current operation and future strategic planning of the organization, and helped to lead Day Kimball through some challenging times, including the current COVID-19 health crisis,” said Janice Thurlow, chairman of the Board of Directors, Day Kimball Healthcare.
“While serving as chairman of the Board, Joseph accepted the Board’s request to take on this role temporarily last fall,” Thurlow said. “On behalf of the Board of Directors of Day Kimball Healthcare, I’d like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Joseph for his dedication and years of service to Day Kimball. We wish him all the best as he plans to return to retirement.”
Adiletta previously served five, three-year terms on DKH’s volunteer Board of Directors since the mid-1990s, including six years as its chairman, and three times through prior transitions of its president and CEO.
“I want to thank Joseph for his guidance and invaluable contributions to the mission and values of Day Kimball,” said Beaudoin. “I look forward to leading Day Kimball towards a strong future in the next chapter of its history.”

PUTNAM — Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH) is re-opening its blood draw site at its Plainfield Healthcare Center on Lathrop Road for patients requiring laboratory and blood draw services.
The blood draw site will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
DKH will continue to screen people upon arrival, ask them a few health questions and check their temperature, and provide them with a mask. DKH is continuing to limit visitors with a few exceptions, and maintaining with social distancing protocols. Hand
Other services available at the Day Kimball Healthcare Center in Plainfield have remained open including internal medicine, OB/GYN, and pediatrics.

Lake reopens
N. GROSVENORDALE — West Thompson Lake is implementing a phased re-opening of the recreation area in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers policies and procedures; state of Connecticut and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) due to COVID-19.
Beginning June 26, 2020 the West Thompson Lake Campground opens. No new reservations are being taken at this time. Please refer to www.recreation.gov for more information.
