Jeannette A Lespasio
PUTNAM — Jeannette “Gram” Jason Lespasio, 77, of Sabin St. died March 20, 2020 at Westview Health Care. She was born June 1, 1942, in Revere, Mass., daughter of the late August Pacheco Jason and Henrietta May McCarthy Jason. “Nettie” was the youngest of five. She had a zest for life. She was sassy and quick-witted.
When she was growing up she would sneak off to Suffolk Downs Racetrack with her father — two peas in a pod chomping at “The Bit” for a winner. Jeannette enjoyed scenic motorcycle rides, searching for cows on country roads and hiking. She spent many days picnicking with her family at Quaddick State Park. She loved playing cards or swearing mastering a crossword puzzle, Foxwoods, coffee at Thompson Dam.
She leaves two daughters, Lorna Jean Caprio and her partner Roger LaFleur of Woodstock, Lynnette Smith and her partner Gary Michaud of Putnam; step children Roseann Lespasio and Francis Lespasio of Boston; grandchildren Brad Herlihy (Destiny) and their kids Connor and Nora of Woodstock, Bryan Herlihy (Lauren) and their kids Rowan, Declan and Tristian of Woodstock, Nadia Twerdy Dumeer (Dustin) and their son Brody of Sterling, Jessica Smith and her partner Bryan and daughter Juliana of Putnam, Daniella Smith of California; Nichole, Holly and Amy Lespasio of Boston; great-granddaughter Lydia Orlowski-Smith of Thompson; sister Lillian Carbone of Stoughton, Mass.; and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; 1st husband Richard J Caprio and her husband Michaelangelo V Lespasio; stepson Rafael Giovanni; sisters Loretta Patnaude and Marie Heath; brother August Jason; grandsons Neil Lespasio, Frankie Lespasio and Michael Anthony Smith. Gerard R. Aubin
AVON — Gerard R. Aubin, 60, died April 14, 2020, of a heart attack in Farmington. Born in Putnam, he was the son of Shirley A. (LaBonte) Aubin and the late Leo Aubin Sr. Gerard was developmentally disabled as a result of complications during his birth and spent the majority of his life under specialized care. He was a patient at Apple Rehabilitation in Avon for the last few years. In addition to his mom, he leaves his brothers, Keith Aubin of Putnam, David Aubin of Killingly, Daniel Aubin of N.C., and Kerry Baker of Killingly.
Glen C. Haynes Jr.
PUTNAM — Glen C. Haynes, Jr., 64, Woodstock Ave., died April 25, 2020, at DKH. He was the husband of the late Judith T. (Bonneau) Haynes. Born in 1955 in Muncy, PA, he was the son of the late Glen C. and Romona V. (Yocum) Haynes.
Mr. Haynes worked for many years at Loos & Co. in Pomfret manufacturing cables for aircraft. He enjoyed talking on his CB, fishing, and shooting his guns. Glen was an avid New York Giants and Penn State football fan. You could also find him on Sunday watching NASCAR.
He leaves his daughter, Kimberly Light and her wife Sara of Moosup; three sisters, Debbie Keiser (Glenn), Valerie Golder (Vince), and Janice Neece (Marc), all of PA; two grandchildren, Destiny Light and Mya Light of Moosup. He was predeceased by a brother Mickey Haynes. A Memorial Service and burial will be held later. Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam. Kevin M. Citrino
PUTNAM — Kevin M. Citrino, 58, of Powhattan St, died April 20, 2020, at home. Born in 1961 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Armstrong) Citrino.
Mr. Citrino worked as an autobody technician for Precision Collision and Town and Country Auto. Kevin was a member of Local 81 and enjoyed drawing, painting, classic cars, and punk rock music.
He leaves his former wife and companion Melinda Peterson and Kathleen (Reddy) Horowitz; his sons, Jeremy Citrino of Portsmouth, N.H., and Jared Citrino of Charlotte, N.C.; his daughter, Shannon D. Citrino of Cumberland, R.I.; granddaughters, Megan Hoxie and Evelyn Hoxie. Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Church St, Putnam.
George S. Geary Jr.,

NEWPORT, RI — George Stanton “Gurg” Geary Jr., 85, peacefully passed “over the bar” on April 20, 2020, in Newport.
Stanton (Stan) was born June 6, 1934, in Oyster Bay, N.Y., to the late George Stanton Geary and Dorothy Matilda Lange Geary. He later settled in Pomfret Center. As a lifelong sailor, Stan retired in Newport where he could embrace his passion for the sea, nautical history and communities.
Stan attended St. George’s School and The Lawrenceville School for his preparatory years. After graduating from Babson College, he served two years in the U.S. Army. He was a venture capitalist and owned Associated Security Alarm Company. He served as the business manager at Rectory School for 11 years. He served for 20 years as president of the 1772 Foundation, a national historic preservation and land conservation philanthropy, where he worked tirelessly to support the protection of hundreds of historic structures and thousands of acres of farmland.
His lively storytelling and reading of poetry was legendary. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fine meals and great conversation. His warm welcome showed his true delight in his family, friends, and colleagues. Stan’s presence at any occasion ensured copious amounts of laughter.
He leaves his wife Doris Erwin Geary; children Heather Lange Geary, Diana Jackson and Cynthia Shaw; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his four-legged buddy, Pierre. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Mariana Geary Flanagan and grandson Gregory Stanton Shaw.

Water/Sewer Collections
The April 2020 billing of water and/or sewer taxes for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable without penalty by May 1, 2020, with the Town Revenue Collector.
Payments made after May 1, 2020, are delinquent and will be subject to an interest charge for both water and sewer at 1.5% per month or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC. 12-146.
Mail must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2020, to avoid interest charges. Online payments can be made at the Town of Putnam website – www.putnamct.us. Please leave payments in the drop box located on the left side of the Town Hall driveway.
Please note: In the effort to safeguard taxpayers and employees, the Putnam Town Hall will be closed to the public until further notice. Payment must be made by mail, online or placed in the drop box located on the outside of the building. Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe.

Sealed bids for a 2002 Mack Granite tri-axle dump truck will be received by the Town of Pomfret at the Office of the First Selectman, Pomfret Town Hall, Five Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259. Truck runs good and is in need of a clutch. 600,000-plus miles. Bids should be submitted no later than Monday, May 11, 2020, at 12:00 noon, in a sealed envelope marked “2002 Mack Dump Truck”.
No bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the Bid opening. The Town of Pomfret reserves the right to waive all formalities or to reject any or all Bids.
