DAYVILLE — Distinguishment found its way to Bronwyn McCracken’s table: the Licensed Massage Therapist was named Westview Health Care Center’s January Employee of the Month.
Born in Long Island, N.Y., she lived many places. She returned to the Northeast as an adult and began raising her family: four girls. She lives in Plainfield with her daughters Mariah, Nicole, Meagan, and Madison.
McCracken joined the Westview’s Sports Medicine staff in July 2018.
Westview Health Care Center Administrator David Panteleakos said: “Bronwyn is a perfect fit here at Westview. Her outstanding work ethic, amazing dedication to her profession and compassion for her clients is truly commensurate with the essence of the employee of the month distinction.

PUTNAM — Bear Hands Brewing Company, 75 Main St., held its ribbon cutting Feb. 29. The family-owned and operated brewery started as a passion for good beer, according to brewer and co-owner Justin Trant. It’s operated by Kayla and Justin Trant.
The calling began when Justin Trant received a brewing kit as a gift 14 years ago.
“We pride ourselves on having a drink for everyone. Over the last 14 years, we have developed over 80 superb recipes that we are excited to share with the residents of Connecticut and beyond.” said co-owner Kayla Trant.
