PUTNAM — The town of Putnam, powered by Putnam Bank and Wheelabrator, will present “Country Lovin’' al Fresco” at 7 p.m. July 21 in Rotary Park. Rain date is July 22. The Country Singers — Jilly Martin and Ryan Kelly, along with their three musicians, will perform with the Putnam Festival Orchestra conducted by Scott Schaurette. Free. All welcome. The theme will be notable modern country tunes, unforgettable legendary country classics and originals.

Great Turnout
May 8 the Putnam Commission on Aging and Thompson Recreation Department hosted a luncheon for 200 seniors from the two communities. The Just Two Trio entertained. It was a time of meeting making new friends and meeting old friends. Putnam Commission on Aging consists of nine members appointed by the Mayor and Board of Selectmen. This program was the first luncheon held since the formation of the commission in 2016.
