Volunteers needed
PUTNAM — Volunteers are needed to join local youth groups for an Earth Day project sponsored by the Greater Putnam Interfaith Council and the Town of Putnam at 10 a.m. April 21. This year’s project will involve cleaning up an area currently full of trash at 319 Kennedy Dr. behind the Dunkin’ Donuts to the far left of the mall parking lot.
The town has plans to use the area to benefit the community after the cleanup.
Vinyl gloves, trash bags, snacks and water will be provided. Adult volunteers may want to bring work gloves.
The project is funded in part by The Last Green Valley and Runnings Home and Outdoor Store.
