CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Putnam Science Academy Lady Mustangs (20-9) traveled to Charlotte to play in the Girls Prep School National Championship tournament Feb. 23 as they faced off against higher seed Crestwood (Canada). The Lady Mustangs battled but couldn’t come away on top falling 53-44..
Kayla Robinson had a team-high 15 points along with 3 rebounds. Sharaya Haines ended up with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Also strong for the Lady Mustangs was sophomore guard Niya Fields as she added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

CHARLOTTE — Paula Barghout scored 17 points and added 8 rebounds as the Lady Mustangs beat West Toronto Prep in the losers bracket of the National Prep Tournament Feb. 24 77-49.
Fatima Lee scored 13 points and Kayla Robinson added 12 points and 2 assists for Putnam Science (21-9) in the win.

CHARLOTTE — The Lady Mustang came out strong Feb. 25 and never looked back after knocking off TPLS 73-61 in the final game of the season in Charlotte.
PSA senior Aislinn Flynn had a big game with a team-high 15 points and 5 rebounds. Ari Koivisto added 8 rebounds and Niya Fields chipped in with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in the win.
The PSA Lady Mustangs finished with a 2-1 record at the National Tournament and finished with an overall record of 22-9 in their inaugural season.

OAKDALE — In a highly anticipated game between two schools that are less than an hour apart the Putnam Science Academy Mustangs (31-4) continue to play well with a resounding 81-58 win over an always tough St. Thomas More team. With the win, PSA breaks a three-year school record with its 17th straight win.
The Mustangs came out strong again with the front court leading the way. Osun Osunniyi led PSA with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks while Kareem Reid added 14 points and 9 rebounds. Kyle Lofton and Jose Perez each scored 13 points to finish in double figures for the Mustangs.

NORTHFIELD, Mass. — The Putnam Science Academy Mustangs improved their overall record to 32-4 Feb. 22 as they defeated league rival, Redemption Christian Academy by a final score of 81-67.
Senior Cam Gooden led the Mustangs on the road with 17 points and 2 assists. Akok Akok had a solid game for PSA as he added 15 points and 3 blocks. Jose Perez and Osun Osunniyi (6 rebounds and 2 blocks) each scored 11 points apiece in the win.
