PUTNAM — May 19 while investigating a suspicious persons incident, Putnam Police arrested a fugitive from justice, James Saritelli, 20, of 560 Providence Pike, Danielson. He was wanted by Glocester, R.I., Police Department for a felony warrant including break and enter dwelling without consent and conspiracy
Basketball clinic
PUTNAM — Putnam Science Academy coach Tom Espinosa will be running a basketball drills and skills clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the academy. NEWTON, Mass. — Briana Wrubleski of Quinebaug, of Lasell College has received the 2017 Lasell Bowl. The Lasell Bowl is awarded annually for outstanding contributions to campus life at Lasell College.
KILLINGLY — A Killingly man was arrested on drug charges May 17.
James Yeargan, 36, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, failure to comply with fingerprints, two counts of first-degree failure to appear and one count of second-degree failure to appear.
Quality of Life Task Force troopers, Troop D patrol troopers and Killingly resident troopers responded to a residence on Rt. 6 in Killingly and detained Yeargan on three active arrest warrants. . Troopers found 60 bags of heroin prepackaged for sale, crack cocaine, a digital scale and $1,059 in U.S. currency.
