Planning Commission
The Town of Putnam Planning Commission will hold a meeting on July 25, 2016, at 6:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT. A public hearing will be held on the following:
Application # 2016-02: Putnam River Road, LLC — Request for a 2 -lot subdivision for property located at 341 River Road, Town Assessor’s Map 43, Lot 9. Zoned Ag-2. The property consists of 73.29 acres with an existing house and outbuildings. The proposal would split off a 3-acre parcel where the house and outbuildings are currently located with no construction proposed for the remaining land.

Grosvenordale, studying Health Science/Pre-Physical Therapy; Lauren Hallberg of Chepachet, studying Health Science; Tracy Paul of Putnam, studying Human Services.
Hair cut gift
DAYVILLE — Hair Cuttery in Dayville will be donating back-to-school haircuts to children who need it most this summer. From Aug. 1-15, for every child up to age 18 who purchases a haircut at one of the Hair Cuttery salons in New England, a free haircut certificate will be donated to a disadvantaged child in the community.

FRANKLIN, Mass. — Dean College announced that Morgan Cacciapouti from Thompson has earned a place on the Dean’s List for the Spring 2016 semester.

NEWTON, Mass. — Maegan Hernberg graduated Cum Laude from Mount Ida College with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. The degree was presented at Mount Ida’s 117th commencement exercise held on May 16, 2016.
