David and Arlene Borm of Princeton, Maine, celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary CelebrationMarch 13 at Westview Health Care Center in Dayville. We were so honored to host this wonderful 60th wedding milestone and special diamond anniversary for the Borms,” said David T. Panteleakos, administrator. Married at Church of the Nazarene in Danielson in 1956, the couple lived in Red Hook, N.Y., where David worked for IBM for 33 years and Arlene in the nursing profession until their retirement before moving to Princeton, Maine. Recently, Arlene sustained an injury at their home in Maine and is now recuperating and undergoing extensive inpatient rehabilitation at Westview. Courtesy photo.

TOWN MEETING
April 18, 2016
The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that the Special Meeting of said Town will be held at The Daniel S. Rovero Selectmen’s Chambers, Putnam Town Hall, 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on Monday, the 18th day of April, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the evening for the following purposes:
1. To choose a moderator for said meeting.
2. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at
Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam on the following proposal:
Be it resolved by the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam that a certain tract or parcel of land in the Putnam Industrial Park be sold to John Rauh or his assigns for a price of $54,000.00 upon such additional terms and conditions as may be recommended by the Town of Putnam Economic Development Commission. A copy of the description of the property proposed for conveyance is on file in the Selectman’s Office and available for public inspection during all business hours.
3. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following proposed resolution:
RESOLVED, that the net proceeds received from the sale of
Industrial Park land to John Rauh or assigns up to a maximum of
$54,000.00 is hereby appropriated to the Economic Development Trust Fund. Said funds shall be subject to further specific appropriation pursuant to the Economic Development Trust Fund Ordinance.
