WOODSTOCK — A Putnam man was arrested on heroin charges Oct. 24.
Seth Daley, 20, of 77 Chapman St., Putnam, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell.
Members of the Troop D Quality of Life Task Force were conducting surveillance in an unmarked vehicle in the parking lot of Sherwood’s Bar and Grill on Rt. 171 after receiving complaints of narcotic activity occurring in the parking lot. While in the parking lot police said they saw Daley approaching vehicles. That detectives assigned to the QLTF know Daley through previous police involvement as a “drug runner” for a local heroin dealer. Daley admitted to police he had heroin in his possession. Numerous bags of heroin pre-packaged for sale was then seized from his pants pocket. Daley was then taken into custody without incident.
Members of the CT State Police are committed to combating drug activity in the “Quiet Corner” and anyone with information regarding the illegal sale of narcotics and /or synthetic marijuana are encouraged to call the Troop D Anonymous Tips Hotline at 860-779-4950 or directly message this Facebook account.
The following charges were listed in the Putnam Police Department logs. The people charged are innocent until proven guilty in court. The Town Crier will publish dispositions of cases at the request of the accused. The dispositions must be accompanied by the proper documentation.
