A Public Hearing of said Town of Putnam will be held in the Daniel S. Rovero Selectmen’s Chambers, Putnam Town Hall, 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 6:30 P.M. in the evening for the following purposes:
1. To hear public testimony upon the Town of Putnam’s Proposed Bazaars and Raffles Ordinance.
2. To hear public testimony upon the Town of Putnam’s Proposed Regulation of Bingo Games Ordinance.

The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting of said Town will be held in the Daniel S. Rovero Selectmen’s Chambers, Putnam Town Hall, 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on  Monday, April 16, 2018,  at 7:30 P.M. in the evening for the following purposes:
1. To choose a moderator for said meeting.
2. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam regarding a proposed ordinance Bazaars and Raffles.  A copy of the proposed Bazaars and Raffles Ordinance is on file in the Office of the Mayor and available for public inspection during normal business hours.
3. Invitation to Bid - reposted
Sale of 184 Church Street
The Town of Putnam is offering for sale a foreclosed property known as 184 Church Street.  The sale will be by written bids submitted to the Putnam Mayor’s Office on or before 4:00 p.m. on May 7, 2018.  Bids are required to be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “184 Church Street Bid”. The bids will be opened at the Board of Selectmen’s meeting the same evening.  Said premises will be conveyed by the Town of Putnam by Quit Claim Deed with no representation as to either title or the property or the condition of the premises, but said premises shall be sold in strictly as-is condition without warranty of any kind.  The Town of Putnam, acting by its Board of Selectmen, reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  The successful bid, if approved by the Board of Selectmen, shall be subject to the normal approval process for the sale of real estate, pursuant to the Town of Putnam Charter.  Each bid, in order to be considered, shall be accompanied by a check payable to the Town of Putnam in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price.  The check of the successful bidder will be deposited by the Town of Putnam and credited to the purchase price at closing.  Should the successful bidder fail to close within 30 days of final Town approval, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the Town as liquidating damages.  The subject premises shall be available for inspection for interested bidders on the 24th of April at 10:00 a.m. Anyone wishing to participate in the bidder’s inspection shall make arrangements through the Town Administrator at 860-963-6800, during normal business hours.
