Senior Meeting
EASTFORD --- All Eastford seniors and  Eastford caregivers are invited to attend a meeting at noon at the Town Office Building lower level. Speakers will address nutrition, the Senior Patrol, recent Medicaid frauds, and the application process for Conn Pace, Conn Map and Long Term Care. In addition, there will be a short meeting of the Eastford Senior Citizens Club. 974-9020.

Bulky Waste Collection
POMFRET --- The town will hold a bulky waste collection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 8 and 9 at the Murdock Property on Rt. 101. For Pomfret residents only. Waste must originate in Pomfret.

Rummage Sale

POMFRET --- The Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp is holding an Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. April 16 and April 17 at the camp on Taft Pond Road. At 1 p.m. April 16 a Parent Panel on the benefits of the camp will be presented. 974-3379.

Clean Up
POMFRET --- The Pomfret Green Team will hold its annual "Celebrate Earth Day Road Side Clean Up" starting in the morning from the Pomfret Community School. Clean up your property frontage or sign up to clean up a town road. Garbage bags and orange vests will be distributed between 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the school. Road crews will pick up all bags left on the side of the road. Sign up by calling 974-1011.

Speaker
THOMPSON --- Bruce Schwab, a sailor and two-time solo circumnavigator, will speak at 9:10 a.m. in the Marianapolis school chapel. In honor of Earth Day, Schwab will talk and show footage of his solo trips sailing around the world. All welcome. Free. 923-9565.
