'Chicago' coming
PUTNAM --- Are you ready to put some “Razzle Dazzle” into your life? Then be sure not to miss murder, mayhem and all that jazz set in the roaring '20s. It all happens when The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse presents the Broadway musical "Chicago."The curtain goes up on April 15 and the show runs for three weekends. Performances are at 7 p.m. April 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 and at 2 p.m. April 17, 24 and May 1. Tickets are $21 for adults and $18 for seniors and students and are available at Wonderland Books and the Victoria Station CafĂ© or by major credit card online at www.bradleyplayhouse.org, or by calling 860-928-7887.
The TNECT production of Chicago is directed by Bob Sloat, who is assisted by Kathleen Atwood and Greg Brock. Keri Danner is the choreographer. The outstanding, energetic cast is headed by Christine Shogren as Roxie and Alison Stewart as Velma. Dan Healy appears as Billy Flynn, Mama Morton is played by Dale Magnuson, Jim Weigel is Amos Hart and Andrea Warford is reporter Mary Sunshine. The other murderesses are played by LaDelle Arnold, Denise Chicoine, Mary Dolan, Tammie LaBonte and Kristiana Sumera.
