PUTNAM --- The Putnam Middle School softball team won against the Canterbury Middle School, 4-3, after a thrilling two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning by Mackenzie Livingston.
The winning pitcher for Putnam in the April 14 contest was Rylee Hehir with a two-hitter and 13 strikeouts.
Coach Chris Hehir said "The Putnam girls each gave 100 percent effort, and everyone contributed to the win. "
The PMS roster includes: 8th Grade: Haley Maddalena, Lexi Rogers and Mikayla VanDam; 7th Grade: Rylee Hehir, Savanah Nichols, Mackenzie Livingston; 6th Grade: Olivia Braithwaite, Lindsay Roberts, Saige Morin, Maria Fredette, Alyssa Espinosa, Alyssa Peterson and Natalia Atencio.
