PUTNAM --- The Putnam Board of Education invites the Putnam community to participate in a workshop regarding the development of a feasibility study for Putnam High School.  This workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 17 in the Putnam High cafeteria.
The board has selected Drummey Rosane Anderson, Inc. (“DRA”) to develop the feasibility study. DRA is already meeting with school staff to conduct programming and building evaluations prior to meeting with residents at the community workshops.  The first workshop will focus on gathering community input.  DRA will hold subsequent workshops to identify possible alternatives for the high school and will then shape specific recommendations for Board of Education consideration.  The workshop schedule includes:  May 17  –  LISTENING: Gathering community input;  June   –  ALTERNATIVES: Understanding the options and September –  SHAPING RECOMMENDATIONS  for Board consideration.
The agenda includes information displays, strategic planning overview, workshop overview, breakout sessions, re-group/re-cap. Children age 3 and older are welcome.  Age-appropriate activities will be provided. Current or former students are encouraged to attend and participate in workshop activities.
