PUTNAM --- Paul Brenton, Putnam High principal, said last week's SADD chapter's program on the dangers of drinking and driving was an "important message" to young people.
"I would like to thank Lisa Mooney, Monica Boudreau and the members of Putnam High School’s SADD chapter for the excellent program the Putnam High School students encountered.
"It was among the finest programs I have witnessed as an educator.
"It was amazing to see so many individuals working passionately to communicate such an important message, and the impact on our students was powerful."
He added, "The event would not have been possible without the support of all of the Putnam community members who helped make this happen. I would like to offer special thanks to Putnam Police Officer Nikolos Sezenias (co-adviser for SADD and the department’s DARE officer); the Putnam Police Department, Lt. Bowen and Putnam EMS, Ralph Miro and Day Kimble Hospital, the Putnam Fire Department, the East Putnam Fire Department, Lifestar, Putnam PRIDE, Gilman’s Funeral Home, Putnam Parks and Recreation, the Town of Putnam, Bodyworks Towing LLC, Bear Paw Signs and Graphics, and all of the PHS faculty who helped to make the event a success. "
"As we enter the season of prom and graduation," he said, "I am confident that the program will resonate in the minds of our students as they make their choices.
"Thank you for helping us bring the message of alcohol related incidents to our students, in such a meaningful way. "
