PUTNAM --- The Putnam Middle School softball team defeated Canterbury 10-6 at Canterbury May 11. Key hits for Putnam were made by Mackenzie Livingston with a triple and one RBI; Rylee Hehir and Savannah Nichols each had a double knocking in two runs, and singles by Natalia Atencio and Alyssa Peterson.
Hehir pitched a three-hitter with 14 strikeouts, that makes 56 strikeouts in 3 1/2 games on the season.
Once again, Lindsay Roberts completed a great game behind the plate. Putnam’s record is now 2-3 on the season.
