Better Bedding

closed again

E. PUTNAM --- The recently reopened Better Bedding next to Tractor Supply on Rt. 44 was closed at the end of last week.
The storefront is now empty and the sign on the door says that the location is now closed and customers are directed to the Better Bedding location mid-state.
The Sleepy's store that had been in the Putnam Parkade closed in December. Shortly after that the Better Bedding store, shuttered for more than a year when Better Bedding Shops Inc. filed for bankruptcy, reopened with mattresses for sale.
Better Bedding, which had opened Putnam store in February, 2008, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March 2009. Sleepy's bought Better Bedding's assets including the name, last May.
