Honored Artists
Woodstock Academy recently honored its Academy Artist of the Year. Front, left to right: Gloria Hanczar, art teacher; Laura Mustis , senior, with parents Peter and Linda Mustis from Eastford. Back: Prescott Powers, Jared Leake, Justin Dupuis, art teachers. Mustis was named Woodstock Academy Artist of the Year at the recent 6th Annual Art Awards at Woodstock Academy. Top artists in their grade level included: August Frechette, freshman; Danielle Nowak, sophomore; Hannah Duhaime, junior; and Lauren Wright, senior. In addition, awards were given to the top student in each arts discipline: Kailey Roy in printmaking; Jessica Otto, photography; Amber Kelly, drawing; John Barlow, ceramics; Hannah Duhaime, sculpture; Laura Mustis, electronic design, and Autumn Putnam in painting.
