PUTNAM --- The Seamless Summer Food Program is underway. Meals are provided to all children 18 years and under free of charge at the Putnam Elementary School, the Putnam High School, the Putnam Public Library and Putnam Public Housing at 123 Laconia Ave. Meals are served through Aug. 12. At the schools, breakfast is served from 8:15 to 9 a.m. and lunches are served from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. At the library, lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to noon and at public housing, lunch is served from 12:05 to 12:35 p.m. For info, call 963-6900.
Lunches at the schools and off-site include fruit and vegetables with these main courses: Monday (onsite): Popcorn chicken, frozen fruit pushups; Monday (offsite): Bologna and cheese on bulkies, pretzels. Tuesday (onsite): Grilled cheese sandwiches, pretzels. Tuesday (offsite): Crispy chicken salad. Wednesday (onsite): Pizza. Wednesday (offsite): Ham and cheese sandwiches. Thursday (onsite): Sloppy Joes. Thursday (offsite): Pizza. Friday: Sub sandwiches, broccoli.
