Raymond Beauregard,
priest
DANIELSON — Raymond Omer Beauregard, 75, son of the late Eugene and Laura (Chauvin) Beauregard, died April 8, 2011, at home.
He was educated at All Hallows School, Assumption Prep School, St. Thomas Seminary, Grand Seminare de Montreal, and the North American College in Rome where he was ordained a priest on Dec. 18, 1960.
He served the Diocese of Norwich at parishes in Willimantic, Putnam, Stafford Springs, Plainfield, Waterford, New London, Uncasville, and at St. Bernard High School.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. July 7 in the chapel of the Provincial House of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit, 72 Church St., Putnam, with burial in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.

Robert Anderson,

PUTNAM --- Robert Anderson, 72, of Letters Street, died July 2, 2011, at UMass Medical Center. He was the husband of 49 years of (Cardin) Anderson. He was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Worcester, son of the late Yelma and Helen (Rutkowski) Anderson.
Robert worked for over 35 years as a transport driver for the Nissen Baking Company in Worcester. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, cooking, cars and motorcycles. Robert was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 170, Worcester.
He leaves in addition to his wife Alaine; four children: Michael Anderson (Jacqueline) of Thompson, Steven Anderson (Lisa) of Brooklyn, Michele Anderson of Worcester, and Kenneth Anderson of Putnam; grandchildren: Ashley Anderson and Spencer Anderson; and his dog Suzie. He was predeceased by a sister Elaine LaPrade.

Stella E. Feige,

N. GROSVENORDALE — Stella (Wojick) Feige, 92, formally of Pineview Court, died June 28, 2011, in Webster Manor. She was the wife of the late Richard S. Feige who died in 1995. Born in 1918 in Millville, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Picik) Wojick.
Mrs. Feige was a 1936 graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School. She worked as a secretary for Colts Plastics and Cluett Peabody retiring at 65. She enjoyed cooking and baking and donated her time at St. Joseph parish.
Stella leaves her sons Richard Feige of Decatur, Ga., and Robert Feige of Massachusetts; daughter Janice Dahl of N. Grosvenordale; brother Frederick Wojick of Brooklyn; sister Mary LeBeouf; grandchildren, Christopher Feige, Jeffrey Dahl, and Deana Pajak; her great-grandchildren, Carson Pajak, Avery Pajak, Nicholas Dahl, and Olivia Dahl.
The Mass of Christian Burial was July 1 in St. Joseph Church, N. Grosvenordale, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations: American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St. N. Grosvenordale.
William Nelson,

E. KILLINGLY — William F. Nelson, 85, of Slater Hill Road, died June 26, 2011, at Regency Heights in Danielson. He was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Putnam, son of the late Harold Nelson and Mary (Maher) Nelson.
He graduated from Putnam High School, then attended Willimantic Teacher’s College (Eastern CT State). Bill played baseball for the Brooklyn Dodger’s camp. Bill served with the U.S. Navy from 1944 – 1946. He was a member of VFW Post 4908 E. Killingly. Bill worked as clerk of works for Day Kimball Hospital, Killingly High School, Annhurst College, Hartford Hospital, JC Penney Co. and Lawrence Memorial. Bill enjoyed fireworks, fishing and traveling.
Bill married Ramona Sears in 1949. He leaves behind his companion Marie Henriques; children; Kathie Hess of Pomfret, Bill Nelson Jr. of Dana Point, Calif., Lori Giambattista of Brooklyn; grandchildren; Hedi Corey, Becky Billington, Gretchen Hess, Jessie Hess, Allison Giambattista and Tyler Nelson, great-grandchildren Gavin and Meghan Corey; brothers, Paul Nelson and Jim Nelson; sister, Ann Navarro and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Gary Nelson and Chrissie (Nelson) Baker.
A Mass of Christian Burial was June 30 at Most Holy Trinity Church, Pomfret, with burial with full military honors in South Cemetery, Pomfret. Simone Balanda,

POMFRET CENTER — Mrs. Simone M. (Beaulieu) Balanda, 91, formerly of Watertown, died June 26, 2011, at Hartford Hospital. She was the widow of Adolph Balanda.
Mrs. Balanda was born March 10, 1920, in Riviere-du-loup, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Donat and Laura (Dube) Beaulieu. She was raised in Vermont, moved to Waterbury in 1936 and settled in Watertown in 1966. She was employed by the Bristol Company in Waterbury until her retirement. A nurturing caregiver, she was a gourmet cook with a sharp, witty sense of humor and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Mrs. Balanda leaves two sons, Lawrence Balanda of Winter Springs, Fla., and Richard Balanda of Watertown; three daughters, Denise Perkins of Jackson, N.H., Deborah Howe of Pomfret Center, and Nichole Brynga of Harpswell, Maine; a brother, Richard Beaulieu of Watertown; four sisters, Yvette Narcisso of California, Noella Beaulieu of Pomfret Center, Teresa Warner of Florida, and Michelle Weiss of California; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A Memorial Mass was June 30 at The Shrine of St. Anne for Mothers, Waterbury, with burial of ashes in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Donations: Abington Social Library, 540 Hampton Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259. Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown.
