PUTNAM --- More than 50 girls attended the recent 2011 Putnam girls' basketball camp at Putnam Middle School last week.
Director Willie Bousquet said "We had over 50 girls and staff enjoy a great week of instruction and improvement."
The guest speakers included Marianapolis men's basketball coach Andrew Vitale and Midtown Fitness personal trainer Amy Williams. Staff included Putnam Science Academy men's basketball coach Tom Espinosa, Connecticut Storm coach Nathan Gagnon, and Bousquet. The camp administrator was former Putnam High School standout basketball player Bethany Lee, a 2011 UConn grad. Bousquet said the camp has been running for more than 10 years and will offer a upcoming boys' week Aug. 1-5 at Putnam Middle School. Call 963-6811 for info.
