PUTNAM — Three employees of Putnam Bank were recently promoted.
Kim Conroy, formerly assistant vice president and loan administration officer, was  promoted to vice president and loan administration officer.
Lisa Balter, branch manager of Putnam Bank’s Gales Ferry office was promoted to assistant vice president. 
Tonya Brock, assistant branch manager at the Main Office was promoted to the position of branch manager at the Pomfret office of Putnam Bank.
Conroy joined Putnam Bank in 1997, as a loan coordinator supervising the processing of loan applications.   Conroy began her banking career in 1986, formerly working for the FDIC. She was awarded the Putnam Bank Spirit Award in 2007 and was the recent recipient of the 2011 Chairman’s Award.  She currently serves as a member of Day Kimball’s Woman’s Board, a corporator for Day Kimball Hospital and is a participant in the Day Kimball Hospital/Deary Memorial Road Race and the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.  A Brooklyn resident,  Conroy  serves her community as an elected member of the Brooklyn Board of Finance and previously served as chairperson for the Recreation Commission.
Balter, a Gales Ferry resident, joined the bank in 2009 as branch manager of the Gales Ferry office.  She has more than 20 years of experience in banking.  Her background includes sales, branch management, mortgage origination and life insurance/annuity sales.  She is Putnam Bank’s Life Insurance Program manager through Vantis Life.   Active in the community, Balter is a member of the Ledyard Rotary Club, the Southeast Connecticut Women’s Business Network, SECT Chamber of Commerce, Greater Norwich Chamber of Commerce and Town of Ledyard Nursing Board.
Brock, a Pomfret resident, was promoted to branch manager at the Pomfret Office. Brock joined Putnam Bank  in 1998 as a teller and has since held the positions of Customer Service representative, Customer Service supervisor and assistant branch manager.  She received the recipient of the 2011 Putnam Bank Spirit Award. Ms. Brock is active in the community, serving as vice president of Habitat for Humanity of NECT, as well as the chairperson of the Family Partnership Committee.  She is a founding member of the Theatre of Northeastern CT and a 25-year performer, director and volunteer at the Bradley Playhouse in Putnam. She is also a volunteer for the Junior Achievement program, a Certified Battered Women’s Counselor, and a supporter and  participant in American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, March of Dimes WalkAmerica and the Danskin Triathlon.
