Senior Program
POMFRET CENTER --- The Pomfret Seniors will hold a 42nd anniversary of Woodstock Music Festival program from 2 to 4 p.m. at the center on Mashamoquet Road.

Fun Run
THOMPSON --- The free 2011 Fun Run summer series is held at 6:05 p.m. each Wednesday through Sept. 21 at the W. Thompson Dam,. Sign in near the yellow gate at the Ravenelle Road parking lot. For people ages 7 to 88 who will jog, run or walk (1.44-mile and 3.1-mile options).

Art Exhibit
POMFRET CENTER --- The Northeastern Connecticut Art Guild will present an art exhibit, "Beauty of All," through Sept. 13 at the new Connecticut Audubon Society Grassland Bird Conservation Center on Day Road. A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 21. All welcome.

Bradley Playhouse
PUTNAM --- The Bradley Playhouse on Rt. 44, downtown, will present "The Producers" at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 and 20 and at 2 p.m. Aug.  21.  $21 for adults; $18 for students/senior citizens. Mature audiences. 928-7887.

Bike Run
N. GROSVENORDALE --- The second Annual Team Flagg Bike Run and Pig Roast will be held at Valley Springs Sportsman Club on Valley Road. $20 per person. Register between 9 and 10 a.m. Bike run starts at 10:30. 942-4292. Benefits the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

Duckie Race
PUTNAM --- The Arc of Quinebaug Valley has rescheduled the 14th annual Arc Rubber Duckie Race fund-raiser for  5 p.m. at Rotary Park. 774-2827.

Open House
CANTERBURY --- The Canterbury Historical Society is hosting a free open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays through August at the historic one-room Green District Schoolhouse off Rt. 169, adjacent to the First Congregational Church. All welcome.

B'nai Shalom Festival
PUTNAM --- B'nai Shalom is having a festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the synagogue grounds, 125 Church St. Event includes a car wash, a flea market,  bake sale and snacks of bagels with cream cheese and hot beverages.
   
Exhibit
WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Historical Society is presenting an exhibit, "Journey Through Woodstock: Celebrating Woodstock's  325th Anniversary" from noon to 4 p.m. Sundays, through the end of the year. All welcome. Free.

Open House
WOODSTOCK --- The Quasset School House, just before the Woodstock Elementary School, will host a free open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays in August. Built in 1854 and moved in 1954.

Blood Pressure
POMFRET CENTER --- The Pomfret Seniors will hold a blood pressure screening at 1 p.m. at the senior center on Mashamoquet Road.

Metal Pick-up
PUTNAM --- The town of Putnam will have a metal and appliance pick up during the week of Aug. 22. Pick up will be done according to regular trash routes, same day as your regular curbside pick up day. Remove doors from refrigerators. 963-6818.

Senior Dance
