'Bark of Life' is Sept. 18
BROOKLYN — Going to the dogs... For the second year, the American Cancer Society and Northeast Relay For Life are going to the dogs.
The event, Bark for Life, will be held Sept. 18 at the Brooklyn Fair Grounds. Registration is from 9 to 11 a.m. and the event activities are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Chairpersons Shanon Sabourin and Monique Mailloux are promising a day of fun for dogs and owners. Early registration is $10 and registration the day of the event is $15. Registration forms: www.cnbct.com.
There are specific rules for participation. Dogs must be accompanied by owners or vice versa. Owners must have proof of all vaccinations including, but not limited to rabies. Dogs or owners must be on a leash. Entertainment includes a jazz band, a DJ and the well known local band REWIND. There will also be contests for dogs and owners. The famous Relay For Life chicken Barbeque will also be help at Bark for Life.
