SAN ANTONIO, Texas --- Air Force Airman Josiah P. Gevry graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is the son of Lloyd and Susan Gevry of Dayville and is a 2010 graduate from Killingly High School.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Returning
PUTNAM --- Army National Guard Spec. Walter R. Patenaude is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn, or Afghanistan serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Patenaude, a wheeled vehicle mechanic with four years of military service, is regularly assigned to the 1166th Combat Heavy Equipment Transport Company, Worcester. He is the son of Donna R. Maass of Dudley and Walter E. Patenaude of Putnam. His wife, Katie, is the daughter of Greg Devlin, and Mary Devlin, both of Dudley. The specialist is a 2006 graduate of Bay Path Vocational High School, Charlton.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas --- Air Force Airman Julien M. Clancy graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is the son of Debra Savoie of Danielson, and Kenneth Clancy of Sterling. Clancy graduated in 2009 from Ellis Technical High School, Danielson.
