3 hurt after
bus-car crash
PUTNAM — Three people were treated for minor injuries after a school bus and a car collided Sept. 9 at the intersection of Woodstock Avenue and Wicker Street.
The Putnam Police Department report said school bus operated by Donn Keele, 68, of Brooklyn, carrying middle school and high school students, was making a right hand turn from Wicker Street onto Woodstock Avenue and was struck by a Mercury Sable operated by Bernadette Enders, 43 of Putnam, traveling east on Woodstock Avenue. Enders and her passenger and one student from the bus were taken to Day Kimball for minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this accident is being asked to call the Putnam Police Department.
