Crabtree earns
Green Beret
FORT BRAGG, N.C. --- Andrew Niles Crabtree recently graduated as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant from the special Forces Qualification Course at Fort Bragg where he earned the coveted Green Beret and graduated with honors.
He is the son of Peter and Susan Crabtree and grandson of Irene Crabtree of Putnam.
He joined the U.S. Army in September, 2003, at age 18 to serve as an Army combat medic. He has advanced to the rank of staff sergeant, served in Korean with the Second Infantry Division, worked both as Emergency Room Technician and Ambulance Service Supervisor for the installation at Reynolds Army Community Hospital on Fort Sill, Okla, served as the senior medic on the Search and Rescue team on Soto Cano Airbase, Honduras.
He is pursuing a military career followed by civilian service as a physician assistant.
