Master Gardeners
program to start
STORRS --- The UConn Cooperative Extension System is now accepting applications for the 2012 Master Gardener Program. Applications should be in the mail by Oct. 28. Go to www.ladybug.uconn.edu/mastergardener or call 877-486-6271.
The program is broad-based, intensive and consists of 16 class sessions (one full day per week) beginning in early January. The Master Gardener program also includes 60 hours of volunteer service: 30 hrs working at a Cooperative Extension Center office during business hours and 30 hrs in a variety of outreach programs. Individuals successfully completing the program will receive UConn Cooperative Extension Master Gardener certification. The charge for the program is $415. Partial scholarships may be available based on financial need.
