4-H Foundation Officers
At the annual meeting of the Windham County 4-H Foundation Jan. 15, the following officers for 2012 were elected. Left to right: Eileen Fritz, secretary; Sandra Ahola, treasurer; Jane Rider, president; and J. Marlies Thomen, vice president. The four officers have a combined total of 101 years of participation in and service to the 4-H camp. All started as 4-H members and campers and Eileen was in a 4-H service club that helped to clear the land prior to the camp being built. Marlies served as a counselor and then camp director. After time away to pursue other activities, all returned to serve as Foundation Board members and officers to build this impressive total years of service. The 4-H camp starts its 58th year June 24. The camp on Taft Pond Road welcomes both day campers and overnight campers ages 6 – 15. New this year is the GaGa Pit. There is also a zip line. For more information call 974-3379. Courtesy photo.
