Winners named
PUTNAM — The winners of the fourth annual NE CT Biggest Loser competition include: Nick Poh, first place, with a 16.52 percent loss; Bill Poirier, second and Shawn Johnston, third. Susan Witter won the women's division with a 15.1 percent loss, followed by Grace Gustafson and Phylis LaBelle.
There were 109 taking part and the first man and woman winners received $500. In addition the contest raised $500 for TEEG and $500 for Daily Bread. Sponsors included: Gerardi Insurance, 85 Main, Putnam Ford, Jessica Tuesday, Wonderland Comics, Meadowview Art & Framing, Steve and Marjolaine Townsend, Steve Bousquet Appliance and TV.
