Wine Fund-raiser
POMFRET --- The Exchange Club of Northeast Connecticut, celebrating 50 years as the local service organization affiliate of the National Exchange Club, will hold its Annual Wine Tasting fund-raiser for the Prevention of Child Abuse at 6 p.m. at The Harvest Restaurant. Sponsored by Pomfret Spirit Shoppe owner Mary Patenaude and beverage distributors, this annual event provides an excellent selection of local and international wines, along with professional guidance on individual selections.  Appropriate hors d’oeuvres and food stations complement the fine wines. Fund-raiser Auction
CANTERBURY --- The sixth annual Relay For Life of NE CT will be held starting with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. at Wright's Mill. Dinner is at 6:30 and the auction begins at 7:45. Auction, Tag Sale
POMFRET --- Donations of items  for the 58th Annual Windham County 4-H Auction and Tag Sale will be accepted starting April 16 and continue through May 3.   Call 974-3379 to schedule a delivery to the Windham County Outdoor Center at 326 Taft Pond Rd., or to arrange for pick up of donated items.  Household goods, furniture, electronics, books, plants, gift certificates are all gratefully accepted (no used clothing please).  Donations are tax deductible. Auction/Tag Sale is May 4 and 5.

Legal Workshop
DANIELSON --- The Arc of Quinebaug Valley, Inc. is hosting a “Legal Voice” workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Arc offices on Cook Hill Road. The free workshop is for parents and families of adult children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The workshop will educate families on the variety of options available for continued advocacy throughout their child’s adulthood, including how to have a legal voice in the life of their adult child.
