PUTNAM — Emergency responder and N. Grosvenordale resident Charlene L. Leith-Bushey, director of communications from Day Kimball Healthcare, recently completed training offered by the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Alabama. The training, Advanced Public Information Officer for Health and Hospital Emergencies, combined lectures, facilitated discussion, activities and exercises for participants to apply knowledge and skill to manage a Joint Information Center in an emergency situation.“It was an incredible honor to be selected for this training,” said Leith-Bushey. “The course was very informative and the intense training exercise has increased my ability to respond to a major emergency or disaster situation in northeast Connecticut.”
