Invitation to Bid
Sealed bids for the following truck modifications will be received by the Town of Pomfret at the Office of the First Selectman, Pomfret Town Hall, Five Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259 until 12:00 PM, Local Prevailing Time, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
All-Season body to be installed on existing International S2500 Fire Truck. Bid to include cost of removing darby water tank and containment, shortening frame to match a 5-yard all-season body, and inclusive of plow frame and hydraulics for sander and body.
The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Requirements, and Specifications are available at the Pomfret Town Hall, Selectmen’s Office, Five Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259.
No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the Bid opening. The Town of Pomfret reserves the right to waive all formalities or to reject any or all Bids.

A certified list of Democratic party-endorsed candidates for the Town of Putnam for election as Registrar of Voters and Justices of the Peace will be on file in my office at 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, and copies thereof are available for public distribution not later than the fourteenth day following the close of the town committee meeting, caucus or convention which made the endorsement.
A Primary will be held August 14, 2012 if the required primary petition(s) for opposition candidate(s) is filed, pursuant to Sections 9-382 to 9-450 of the Connecticut General Statutes, not later than 4:00 p.m. on June 12, 2012. For Justice of the Peace, a petition form with candidates numbering at least a bare majority of the number of justices of the peace to be nominated by such party in the municipality must be filed. Petition forms, instructions and information concerning the procedure for filing of opposing candidacies, including schedules, may be obtained from:
