Fun Runs

Art Exhibit
POMFRET --- The Connecticut Audubon Center at Pomfret will present an art exhibit, "Wildlife Encounters," by Pat Morris through July 30 at the new center on Day Road. Opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 17. All welcome. 928-4948.

Drum Circle
THOMPSON --- The Thompson Congregational Church is sponsoring a drum circle from 7 to 8 p.m. every Thursday during June and July on the common. Bring your Bongos, Djembes, Congas, 5 gallon drums and any other noise makers. Experience the healing of drumming! Free. All welcome.

Golf Tourney
FOSTER, R.I. --- The Arc of Quinebaug Valley's 25th Annual Gardner Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Foster Country Club.  Player and sponsorship opportunities available. Registration deadline is July 3. Cost is $500 per foursome or $125 per person. 860-774-2827.

EASTFORD --- The Congregational Church of Eastford on Church Road will hold a frog-jumping contest and band concert starting at 5:30 p.m.

'Cirquetacular al Fresco'
PUTNAM --- The town will present al Fresco event, "Cirquetacular al Fresco 2012" at 7 p.m. at Rotary Park Bandstand. River Fire begins at intermission and goes until 10 p.m. Free. All welcome. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Sponsored by Wheelabrator Putnam and Putnam Bank.

Art Exhibit
DANIELSON --- The Northeastern CT Art Guild will hold an art exhibit called "Collectively Independent" at the QVCC Spirol Art Gallery from July 24 to Aug. 16. A reception will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 25. The guest will be Alicia Underhill, an equine artist, and music will be given by Al Dziedzic, a saxaphonist.  All welcome.
