THOMPSON --- The Thompson Congregational Church is sponsoring a drum circle from 7 to 8 p.m. every Thursday during June and July on the common. Bring your Bongos, Djembes, Congas, 5 gallon drums and any other noise makers. Experience the healing of drumming! Free. All welcome.

PUTNAM --- The Immaculate Conception Convent will hold its annual Lithuanian Picnic at the convent at 600 Liberty Highway. It starts with an 11 a.m. Mass, food at noon and various events throughout the day including a Hat Contest. $5; under 12 admitted free.

DANIELSON --- The Northeastern CT Art Guild will hold an art exhibit called "Collectively Independent" at the QVCC Spirol Art Gallery from July 24 to Aug. 16. A reception will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 25. The guest will be Alicia Underhill, an equine artist, and music will be given by A l Dziedzic, a saxaphonist. All welcome.
