David A. Walsh,

WOODSTOCK — David A. Walsh, 52, formerly of Blackstone, Mass., died Sept. 23, 2012, at the dream home that he built with his dearest partner of 10 years, Michael A. Fusaro.
Always smiling and kind-hearted, Mr. Walsh enjoyed working as an inspector for Whitcraft Group. In his leisure he was an exceptional gourmet cook and he also had a green thumb. He wrote a gardening column for the Blackstone Enlightener and planted thousands of daffodils at his new home.
Born in 1959 in Woonsocket, R.I., Mr. Walsh was the son of the late Michael J. Walsh Jr. and the late Yvette D. (Jodoin) Walsh. In addition to his partner, David leaves his brothers, Thomas A. Walsh (Chantal) of Gloucester County, Va., James M. Walsh (Cathy) of Mapleville, R.I., Kenneth A. Walsh (Sally) of Blackstone, and John A. Walsh of Blackstone; his Godmother Pauline Bibeault of Blackstone; nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his Irish Terrier Harry. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael J. Walsh III and his godfather, Richard Bibeault.

Leona E. Lane
WOODSTOCK — Leona Elizabeth Lane, 93, of Woodstock, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 23, 2012. 
She was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Breckenridge, Colo., the oldest daughter of the late Orval and Freda Dodge.  She attended Breckenridge public schools and graduated valedictorian of her high school class in 1936. 
She married Claude Ray Lane, Oct. 15, 1939, and made her home in Denver for 59 years.  In 2006 she moved to Woodstock to be near her family.  For many years she and her husband owned and operated Lane Liquors and later bred, trained and raced Standard Bred horses across the U.S. She supported Special Olympics and Denver area Saturday Club for mentally handicapped young people.
Since moving to Woodstock she regularly attended Eastford Baptist Church. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed both Denver area and New England sports teams.  She was a woman of remarkable character who exhibited strength, commitment, kindness, generosity, and encouragement to those around her. 
She leaves her daughter Effie Jeanne (Lane) Vinal of Eastford; two grandsons, Richard Vinal (Amy) of Woodstock, Timothy Vinal (Mary Jo) of Owenton, Ky.; four granddaughters, Jeanne Griswold (Kirk) of Newmanstown, Penn.; Christine Hustus (David) of Eastford; Brenda Ng and (Jerry) of Puyallup, Wash., and Faith Pollina (David) of Gozo, Malta.  She also leaves adopted grandson, Dave Alisentono (Kathy) of Lewisville, Texas; three adopted granddaughters, Svitlana Lukyanchenko and Tetyana Lukyanchenko, both of Willington, and Veronica Mironova of Donets’ka Oblast’, Ukraine; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother Leroy Dodge (Linda) of Casa Grande, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude; her daughter Bette Louise; son-in-law, Wayne Vinal; infant granddaughter, Amanda Vinal; infant great-grandson, Joseph Vinal; two sisters, Norma and Florence and one brother, William.
A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 7 at Eastford Baptist Church, 133 Union Rd., Eastford, with burial will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Donations: Eastford Baptist Missions Fund, 133 Union Rd., Eastford, CT. Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam.

Dolores R. Ware,

N. GROSVENORDALE — Dolores (Blain) Ware, 76, of Floral Avenue, died Sept. 30, 2012,  in Day Kimball Hospital.  She was the wife of the late William R. Ware Jr. who died March 6, 2012. 
Born in 1936 in Webster, she was the daughter of the late Gaston and Lillian (Laurion) Blain.
Mrs. Ware worked as a receptionist for Dr. Waldron, Dr. Goyette, Dr. Cremè, and retired from the billing department of St. Luke’s Family Healthcare.  She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of St. Ann, and was a “Columbiette.”  She was a member of the Interfaith Stitchers and enjoyed crocheting.
She leaves her sons, Kenneth M. Ware (Maria) of Putnam, George W. Ware (Jessica) of Worcester, and David R. Ware of Dayville; her daughter, Lynda Nedzweckas (Peter) of N. Grosvenordale; her brother, Leon Blain of N. Grosvenordale; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4 in Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St. A gathering will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 5 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery Donations: Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Hwy., Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067; or to St. Joseph Church, 18 Main Street, N. Arthur F. Raymond,

DANIELSON --- Arthur "Ike" F. Raymond,  68, of Danielson, died at home Sept. 25, 2012. He was born May 24, 1944, in Hartford, son of the late Manuel and Violet (Chartier) Raymond. He is the husband of Kathleen (Reynolds) Raymond. They were married June 29, 1963.
Ike worked at the former Anchor Glass in Dayville and later for Our Lady of LaSalette Church in Brooklyn, Staples and Tillinghast Funeral Home. He was a member of the Danielson Fire Department and East Brooklyn Fire Department.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, James A. Raymond and companion Angelique McKinney of Thompson, Ann M. Williams and companion Donald Grenier of Danielson and Brenda A. Bourgoin (Will) of Wauregan; grandchildren, Craig and Heather Williams, Nicole, Laura and Michela Raymond, Christopher, Brittany and Kim Murray; great-grandchildren Makalya Williams and Jahaire Murray. He was predeceased by his brothers, Manuel, Clifford and Vincent Raymond; sister Theresa Caplette.

Steve Bushey,

LAS VEGAS --- Steve Bushey December 13, 1952-September 21, 2012  Steve Bushey, 59, died Sept. 21, 2012. after a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 13, 1952, son of Elsie and Bernard Bushey.  He was a graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial  High School and H. H. Ellis Tech aviation. Steve worked as director of maintenance at Grand Canyon Airlines. He was a veteran of the USAF, active member of NHRA and PSCA.  Steve loved golf, fishing, but most of all his drag racing.
He leaves his love and life partner Sue Chamberlain; brothers Dave and Joyce of Thompson; Don and Kris of Ft. Worth, Allan and Kim of Woodstock.
